Red Kite Lodge Reviews

Great location, what a view! Good amenities in the well kept and clean static caravan. Good communication from owners.
Such a lovely well equipped cottage. Spotlessly clean and owner Alan on hand to offer advice on the area. Super impressed with the site it's self. Very quiet and my young kids were safe to adventure and use their bikes without us having to worry. This lead us to have a relaxing time. The hot tub was a bonus and with the Red Kites flying over the cottage in the mornings it really was magical. Highly recommend.
Such lovely place. Caring owners! Amazing views and calming location.. we had sheep visitors! I really enjoyed my stay, had everything I needed. So little walk to lake or village shop, where they stop serving food at 3pm and close at 4pm, bigger supermarkets 20 min drive. Nice playground for children. Strong good showers Lovely hot tub Everything was working well! Cozy lounge and comfy sofas, lovely fire place to watch in the evenings! Bonus Netflix and other apps to watch on tv! Only minor down for me was, storage spaces shelves had extra things, especially Christmas decorations. Or something big under main bed.. I couldnt fit my suitcase there. Or fully use the shelves for my clothes in walking wardrobe. Would have been amazing if that walk in wardrobe was empty, as to have one in the house is every ladies dream, I dont have one, and such a shame I couldnt enjoy it at my stay. And apart that I really enjoyed everything and would definitely come back again!! Thank you Alan and Debra

I'd like to express my family's heartfelt compliments following our recent stay at Red Kite Lodge. My husband, daughter, and I were graced with a delightful week the lodge itself truly enhanced our trip. Upon arrival, we noted that the lodge was commendably clean and wellmaintained, an indicator of the care and diligence that your team exercises. The heating was excellent, furnishing us with cosy evenings in, while the hot tub provided a luxurious and welcomed bonus. Further praise is due to the owner, who exhibited an excellent level of approachability and responsiveness to our queries. It is outstanding to encounter such dedication and swift communication in the hospitality industry. In light of our overall experience, we feel impelled to recommend your establishment enthusiastically to others. Your commitment to quality service is duly appreciated, and we trust others will recognise this too. Thank you once again for providing us with a memorable stay.
Had a fantastic week here celebrating my birthday. The accommodation was everything it was stated and extremely comfortable. Alan provided all information and we only had to contact him regarding the whereabouts the fireplace remote control. We were very fortunate with the weather and every night was star watching in the hot tub. lovely walks all around and a meal to die for in the Achray House. Not really sure whats going on with the Four Seasons!!!!.... Absolute pleasure to stay here...

We stayed here for a long weekend at the end of August. Thankfully had some lovely weather only raining badly on the morning we left. Alan was excellent at looking after us before we arrived and during the stay, always ready to answer with advice and info. Of all the lodges on the site, this one has the best view, it is perfectly situated. It has everything you need and is well presented with the hot tub a bonus. We all really enjoyed our stay including our springer spaniel Max who loved sitting out on the decking soaking up the view, as well as the plentiful walks in the area. Would recommend this 100 to anyone looking for a lovely relaxing holiday.
We had a fantastic Monday to Friday stay in the lodge. Very modern interior and comfortable for a family of four. Kitchen was well supplied with all the amenities, making all the more convenient. Jacuzzi was a fab in the evenings with a stunning view across the valley. Great location for short hikes or a trips day trips in car to nearby beauty spots and villages such as Killin. Will hopefully return next year
Andrew
Red Kite Lodge is obviously not a lodge in most peoples sense. What it is, is a really well specced staticmobile home. Comfortable beds, excellent living area, well stocked kitchen we didnt use the washing machine, but good to know it was there, excellent hot tub and to top it all an amazing view. St Fillans is really well placed to access numerous local towns where theres activities for everyone. We did paddle boarding on the loch, walked two different well developed cyclewalking tracks that have been developed from disused rail lines. Being dog friendly was icing on the cake. We stayed for a week and had a really relaxing time. Would highly recommend.
The lodges was very comfortable great place to rest, beautiful landscape, silence that you can enjoy, we are very happy with the stay in lodges. We recommend this place is wonderful
This is the second time we have stayed at Red Kite Lodge. Lovely and relaxing, provided with everything needed for a great stay. Spectacular views from the hot tub and decking. Such a relaxing location. Brilliant location central to lots of great places to visit. Alan and Debra are on hand if you need anything, super helpful. Izzy the dog loved it too. We look forward to staying again.
The caravan was beautiful and superbly kitted out, with lots of extras you would not expect like games, DVD's & binoculars to look at the fantastic views. The hot tub was excellent and positioned so the views could be enjoyed whilst in it. There was a minor issue with the hot water on our final day but it did not ruin what was a fantastic break. The only negative was the spotty phone signal, but the WiFi was excellent. I would recommend the Red Kite lodge if you want a peaceful, relaxed getaway in comfort.

This lodge was exceptionally well prepared and well equipped, dishes, cutlery, games, maps, books, shampoos, sky tv etc. Also Alans information was excellent and very informative with various tips etc.
Aileen
I noticed that the steps into the gate as wee cracked round the edges. Overall the living space is fab . We saw a pine Martin outside the lodge heading towards the railway station .
Very comfortable and well equipped lodge with absolutely stunning views. We made good use of the hot tub every day to my young daughters delight this is the life!. Friendly and responsive owners who gave us excellent tips. Short walk from the village shop which has great coffee and soup, and a play park nearby. Saw red squirrels, deer and a hare. Building work is ongoing as noted in the listing but we werent particularly bothered by noise. So much to do nearby, would love to come back and explore further!
We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend and will definitely ... We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning , the view from the lodge is amazing and the area is very relaxing and peaceful but also with lots to do
Elliot
Fantastic lodge, modern very clean, very well equipped. Stunning veiws, spa was perfect
A lovely relaxing week at the lodge. Lodge was well equipped and was great to relax in the hot tub after the days adventures, with the lovely surroundings. Owners were friendly and in touch to welcome and with suggestions aswell as being on hand if there were issues. Building work still ongoing, however didnt bother us or the fact that a lot of cabins were unoccupied as it made for a nice quiet break.
Kimberley
This was our second stay at Red Kite Lodge and as before it didnt disappoint. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery yet plenty of walks locally to suit all abilities. Our daughter and teenage granddaughter joined us this visit and they loved it too. From relaxing in the hot tub to a strenuous hilly walk and strolling alongside Loch Earn I highly recommend Red Kite Lodge it really has all youll need and is a home from home.
This is our second visit. Accommodation is immaculate and views are stunning. The owners made us feel very welcome with some nice goodies in a welcome pack.
Stuart
Lovely property, well stocked, beautiful location, the only thing that let's it ... Lovely property, well stocked, beautiful location, the only thing that let's it down is first impression, the side we stayed at looked like a building site but once u get pasted that the area is fantastic
Had a lovely week at Red Kite Lodge. The kitchen is very well equipped and the lodge is very modern. The double bedroom is a great size. The decking has a gate so dog can wander freely, which is superb. The hot tub is lovely with stunning views, very peaceful. We were visited by deer a couple of evenings. The site itself is still under construction, but once in the lodge you forget about that and the decking faces stunning views. Will book again in the future.
Louise
We had a fantastic stay at red kite lodge and will be back, everything we needed , relaxing and modern lodge , was a slight issue with shower but owners on other end of phone to help sort it out! Beautiful
Andrew

Kimberley
Excellent accommodation, it really is home from home with everything you could possibly need to enjoy your stay thank you!
Thought it was lovely. We really enjoyed the holiday, beautiful views and an easy walk to the Loch. Although we took loads kitchen stuff there was everything you needed so well stocked!
Good location for walks, sightseeing, spectacular views from lodge, very rural so very quiet. Very clean and comfortable lodge with fantastic hot tub. A wide range of good quality utensils. Cannot fault what the owners have provided within the lodge.
Eleanor
Our first time renting a lodge and it was perfect. We read reviews that the site was under development, but so what, that wasn't a problem for us. The Location is stunning and we enjoyed walking the dog to the Loch every morning and taking in the tranquility. The surrounding wildlife was amazing, we were so excited to see red squirrels in their natural habitat. The lodge itself was very well equipped and comfortable. We couldn't have asked for better getaway.
Lovely place with everything you need and very comfortable
We loved our stay . Very peaceful , warm and cosy . Facilities were excellent and such a beautiful location . Autumn here is stunning and we will hopefully be back to experience spring ! 1010 recommend
Anthony
Lovely location with beautiful views, lodge clean and comfortable,
Property was very clean and well kitted out. The owner Alan couldnt have been more helpful when we asked questions!
Very good property and owners were great
The area Crieff and the actual cabin were very nice, well equipped and the owner was very helpful and couldnt do enough for us. However we were disappointed to find the plot was still a building site with only our cabin occupied. Although this may have worked in our favour as the cabin next to us was very close especially if you wanted to relax in the hot tub without being over looked. Unfortunately we could only use the hot tub once, as it was slightly off colour with a funny smell. We did follow the instructions on two occasions to add the chemicals but it didnt seem to clear up. The oven and dishwasher tripped whilst we were there and again no fault of the owner as we believe it may have been linked to the ongoing work on site. The owner couldnt have done more to help and was in contact with the site manager throughout to get the problem sorted. I feel the property has good potential but we were a little disappointed with the ongoing work and the hot tub.
Courtney
The House and area was perfect for our little family and we will be happy to return in the future!
Stuart
Hello ... Our visit to the lodge was brilliant. It was clean, modern and in a lovely setting..the view was fantastic..the hotub was perfect..the surrounding areas were brilliant for walks along the beautiful countryside...it was a very relaxing week away.we went to loch earn for the watersports..so we will be back again.thanks.
Thomas
Could not fault the property itself but i think the site is not ready for paying guests as still looks like a building site. Also we has two small dogs and one of them jumped of the side of the decking at the hot tub as nothing to stop them they needed chained up all the time. Lodge great. Views great. Site was building site
Leanne
Red Kite Lodge was even better than I expected, only slight downside was the building work going on through the day but didn't stop us having the best time. Will definitely be back
Caroline
Had a wonderful time at lodge. It is extremely well kitted out and very comfortable. View from decking and hot tub are great and an ideal way to relax after days walking. The lodge is part of a larger site and there is ongoing works to fit out other lodges which we were not aware of until we arrived. The work did not interfere with our holiday or enjoyment at all however I feel it should be mentioned at time of our booking.
Had a fantastic break at the lodge . Excellent condition and spotlessly clean . Wonderful views aided by the binoculars provide . Both Allan and Charles very helpful when required . Great to relax in the hut tub surrounded by the views. Will definitely be returning in the near future .
