The Annexe Reviews

Stephen
The Annexe is on the western edge of B. On T. and is one of a number of upmarket houses on the approach road. The area is immaculate with wide grass verges ideal for early and late dog walking. There is even a handy dog waste bin close by. The house is very well equipped with comfortable beds and furniture. The only criticism is the chairs at the table. They are rather low and a bit difficult to use I am 80. The back garden is dog proof but my dog a beagle insisted on hiding in the bushes. There are lots of interesting places to visit all well under any hour away and the the beaches have great waves to view. All in all a great place to stay.
It was our second stay here, and everything again was very good. Very comfortable and a peaceful location.
Louise
We had a lovely stay at the Annexe. it was so well equipped and comfortable. A nice surprise was the welcome pack with lots of goodies in it thank you. The Annexe is in a quiet area and is easy to walk down by the river into Berwick. We did lots of walking which is what we enjoy, walking round the city walls, doing the river side walk and walking to the beach at Spital. We had a day on Holy Island as well and walking round the island it was so beautiful. We loved using the well equipped kitchen and then settling down to watch things on the massive TV screen. We also particularly enjoyed using the hot tub. The owner who lives next door Aleysha was on hand if anything was needed but totally left you to enjoy your holiday. We treated ourselves to fine dining at Audela in Berwick which we would recommend if you fancy a special treat. A lovely stay and would definitely book again if we were coming back to Berwick

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Annexe. The location suited us and everything was to a high standard.
Christine
Absolutely lovely everything we wanted and needed excellent 1010
Michael
Great location on the north east coast and close to amenities. So quiet in the house just lovely heard a woodpecker every morning and watching the birds in the garden feeding was relaxing. Only thing negative was the loose toilet seats! Very clean and comfortable and we shall be back in the near future.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Annexe . Set in beautiful and peaceful surroundings the Annexe is spotlessly clean and comfortable Thankyou Ayesha and Owen for being excellent hosts and providing everthing for a perfect holiday We will be back and hope to see you soon Linda and James Sugrue
The Annex is a lovely comfortable and surprisingly private accommodation given its location attached to the owners property. It is well appointed, stylish and well maintained. There was a lovely welcome basket for us. The hot tub was clean and warm, though a little difficult to access to remove cover as tucked in a tight corner in the garden and there was no external lighting which made access more difficult in the winter dark. The owners were quick to respond to our contact over the weekend. The location is on outskirts of town and a reasonable walk from train station and town itself.
This Annexe is a beautiful holiday home in a fabulous setting. It is very well equipped and very clean and comfortable. The welcome pack provided by the owner was a unexpected bonus Could of really done with the outside light to be working in back garden and lighting down the side of property this would have scored a 10 out of 10. However due to the lighting issue we had to buy a torch so we could see.our dog in the dark. Also unable to use the hot tub due to poor lighting. Overall this would not deter us from booking to stay again or recommending accommodation to friends and family.
My wife and I stay in at least 3 Sykes Holiday Cottages a year and this is one of the best, mattresses and sofas where very comfortable, heating and showers first class, just like home.
Very nice holiday home. Warm and cosy. Close to the beach where you can walk your dogs. Beautiful views from the cliffs next to the golf course, there is a path leading to another sandy beach. There is everything you need here and the jacuzzi bath was a great addition. We spent some fantastic days here. Thank you to the hosts for the welcome pack we are already planning to come back in the spring
Lovely comfortable holiday accommodation
The holiday property was excellent and suited our requirements perfectly. It was well equipped, cosy and warm. Any problems were dealt with quickly by the owners who were very welcoming and helpful.
Very happy with the Annexe and would readily recommend it.
Bethany
A real home from home feel! Beautifully kept and spotlessly clean, we came to visit our granny who lives on Spittal sea front so was the perfect location for us and we will absolutely stay here when we come again. Thank you!
Gillian
Beautiful, clean property in perfect location. Had a wonderful time. Only one suggestion, there was moment hairdryer, which wasnt a big problem as we were able to purchase one for our use in the nearby Tesco.
Christine
What amazing little gem. Beautiful inside and outside . Walking distance from town. Lovely unique shops and cafes. But the annex of this house was very nice designed. Home from home plenty of parking very friendly neighbours. Yes I would go back.
A very comfortable, immaculate property in a very convenient location for walking into Berwick or accessing the A1 for trips out.
Just spent two weeks at the Annexe. This was one of the best properties we've stayed in. It's very well equipped and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly too. Plenty of room for the two of us and a lovely welcome basket. It's very convenient for the town and station and also very close to the A1. Lots to see and do in the area. We'll definitely be back for another stay in the future.
We have just returned yesterday from a weeks break at the Annexe in Berwick. What a fantastic place to stay in a beautiful area. The Annexe has every comfort you need with a lovely enclosed garden and hot tub. We have been holidaying with Sykes for years, this is one of the nicest places we have stayed. Many Thanks
Robert
Really liked the property but it was advertised with a ground floor bedroom ... Really liked the property but it was advertised with a ground floor bedroom which was the reason we booked it due to sister's mobility issues, but both bedrooms were upstairs
Christine
The house is so comfortable and immaculate . Everything you need is provided and we had a great stay . Would definitely go back .
Absolutely outstanding property and is really well presented. The property is located a short walking distance into town and there is a pleasant walk along the riverside to keep you away from traffic. I would definitely recommend this property
Gerald
Property in a very good location both for access into Berwick and to the A1 for travelling further afield. Was very warm and welcoming to come back to on dark winter evenings. Furniture in the lounge area was a bit minimal there were just 2 of us, if 4 people were staying seating would be a bit limited and there was no side table or shelving to put our books and maps etc on. An electrical problem during our stay was dealt with very quickly and efficiently. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again when we come back to the area.
Jennifer
Spent 5 days at the Annexe, Lovely welcome basket, very clean and well equipped with everything you need. In a good location for visiting the local area and further afield. Would definitely recommend.
The Annexe was an excellent place to stay it was comfortable and well equipped. As we were visiting relatives it was ideal for us. The welcome basket was appreciated and a nice touch. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.
The Annexe was an amazing holiday home in a great location which was also peaceful and quiet too. The house is so modern and clean with all the facilities you could possibly need during your stay. Its just like home from home and was exactly what we wanted. Relaxing on the lovely comfortable sofa watching the huge tv after a day of walking and exploring was just perfect. The enclosed garden was a lovely safe place for our dog to roam about also. The owners were so helpful and made us feel so welcome and the welcome pack was such a lovely extra touch that was much appreciated. The walk along the river nearby was lovely and so close and an easy walk into town to the walls, parks, pier and beach and a lovely walk along the tops looking out to the sea with the golf course on the other side. I would highly recommend the Annexe for a lovely relaxing break, perfect for families and dogs. Thank you for an amazing holiday.
Adrian
Very little to complain about. Very very comfortable, I would be delighted to stay here again. Absolutely perfect for a couple with two children or two couples. Minor things No wastepaper bins in the bedrooms, no hairdryer and perhaps a small table in the TV room which is really spacious for putting drinks on. Absolutely paranoid about spoiling the furniture!!
Hi we thought the Annex was amazing very clean and was very well equipped it is ... Hi we thought the Annex was amazing very clean and was very well equipped it is in a great location not far from the town or river walks and local pubs The owners were lovely we could not have chosen a better place to stay thank you for the generous welcome pack
Samantha
We had a fabulous time! The property was beautiful, modern and extremely clean. The enclosed garden was perfect for our little westie, and apologies if she barked a little in her new surroundings. I couldnt fault this holiday cottage in any way. Close to town, parking, a little stroll to the train station and close to the main road without any road noise brilliant for exploring. We popped to Bamburgh, Eyemouth, Lindisfarne, Edinburgh and Alnwick. It was wonderful to wake up in such an airy property to the sound of birdsong! Wed love to visit again.
Wonderful holiday! We were absolutely thrilled with the accommodation. It was light, bright, spacious and immaculately clean. Very good communication from the owners and a lovely welcome pack. Would highly recommend. Lovely part of the world to explore with lots to do in the area. We will be back, thank you
Lauran
Our stay at The Annex was lovely and the owners thought of everything, even down to leaving some toys for our little girl to play with for our stay and some treats for our dog. Youre super close to the town centre which is great too and not far from Spittal Beach. It was such a lovely stay!
Elizabeth
Lovely property. Light and airy, with a view of Cheviot in the distance. Half a mile from the town centre and railway station, and close to a big Morrisons. Although a modern property anyway, the Annex has recently been renovated, with new furniture and furnishings, including all new sanitary wear. Couldn't fault it.
