Fisherman's Cottage Reviews

Summer
Fishermans cottage was just as described with excellent facilities which have been well maintained. The cottage was perfect for a chilled weekend away with the beach on the door step. The surrounding area was very peaceful and perfect to watch the sun go down in the evening. The welcome gifts were a lovely touch. Overall, a fantastic weekend where we felt at home.

Turned up at fishermans cottage and was pleasantly surprised with how clean, tidy and easy for our stay it was. A stones throw from the sea my 2 young lads loved going into the rock pools in the evening looking for crabs. Fraserburgh beach is just round the corner which we spent a lot of time at and went a little further a field to Dunnottar Castle which was a great day out. All in all it was a great experience and will certainly be asking to go back. The wine, milk and biscuits where a great addition I would honestly highly recommend we had a great time
Christina
We had an amazing week in Fishermans Cottage. The welcome gifts were most appreciated and the whole cottage was clean and ready for us to fall into bed after a long day travelling. The hot tub was great and the fine weather meant we could make use of the garden furniture to relax. Any questions I had before we got there were answered quickly and we will 100 be coming back.
Lovely holiday home on a beautiful setting. Nice walks around the area and plenty of great places to visit within a hour or so drive. Would love to visit again some time. Owners are very nice and helpful. Thank you
Absolutely beautiful home. We loved every minute. The house had everything we needed with lovely extra touches too. Would highly recommend. After visiting Inverallochy in the past, we fell even more in love with it this time after such a lovely experience at Fisherman's cottage. Thank you to the hosts. We had a really lovely holiday. Hope to come again in the future.
We had a great time at the cottage, it's in a great location for exploring the area. The kitchen is well stocked, 2 minute walk to the local shop and the beach. Only drawback was lack of a washing line, an airer is provided, but we still struggled to dry bathing suits and our beach towels we used for the hot tub.
Lovely location, easy access to beautiful beaches, a quiet, uncommercialised, friendly village. A well stocked kitchen with very welcome initial supplies. Thank you for attending to our requests so quickly.
It was a beautiful house, loved staying here. Would be a 10 out of 10 if pillows were a bit more fluffy. Im definitely a soft pillow person.
A lovely place to stay
I thoroughly recommend this property. Its home away from home for me. Very modern and comfortable. The owner is lovely, welcoming and very happy to assist in any way.
Michael
Beautiful spotless cottage. Everything you need. Only thing missing is information about the local area, eg Things to do and Places to eat. Would recommend this cottage. Loved the hot tub.
We arrived to a very clean and cosy cottage, There were some pleasantly surprising gifts waiting for us thank you had the best showers of our lives which was much appreciated after a 9 hour drive. Set in a lovely quiet area and the sea just a few minutes away. Would definitely go again. Already recommended to family and friends.

Lovely just two things to mention, We found the lighting harsh in terms of reading no lamps, which would helped. Cushions on the sofa were not very clean. We will be returning.
Had a wonderful family holiday at this property. In a nice quiet town just outside Fraserburgh. Arrived to a few welcome goodies which were thoroughly appreciated. Property was well furnished and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. Bath towels provided which saved a lot of luggage space. Hot tub was a great perk to relax and unwind with a drink or two at the end of the day. Turkish bath sheets are also provided for use with the hot tub. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return and recommend.
Rebecca
Not a fault to be had just perfect.
We had a wonderful, relaxing two weeks at this pretty little cottage. The hottub is a godsend after a long day out. The house is well appointed and has everything you might need. Thanks to a smart setup it appears much bigger inside than the outside makes you believe. Due to the beautiful weather during our stay we were able to enjoy the deck with its lounge area and have some meals outside. The town itself is quaint and pretty and Fraserborough with its shops is only a couple minutes drive.
Philip
Lovely cottage with everything you could want and need available. Location is perfect, a short walk from the seafront and harbour.
Patience Hilda
Everything was perfect more than we expected. Quite neighbourhood. The garden is absolutely stunning, the house beautiful. The whole scenario made me fall in love with the whole of Fraserburgh that I am thinking of relocating.
Michael

We stayed 4 nights at fishermans cottage and we could not have asked for a better stay. The location is lovely and quiet, we visited Peterhead and Fraserburgh, the locals there are so friendly. Aaron and Vicki left us a welcome gift with essentials which was a very kind and thoughtful gesture. The house is so comfy and clean and there has been a lot of thought gone into the decorating of the cottage and the garden is lovely too! The bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor is great for those with mobility issues and the off road parking was great. This cottage has everything you could ask for and more.the hot tub.oh wow the hot tubone wordAMAZING!!! We would give fishermans cottage 10 out of 10 and cant wait to visit again, this was just the relaxing break we needed away from a busy life! Thank you so much for hosting us.
Claire
Amazing little cottage and despite there being six adults there was plenty of room! Lovely hot tub and location with lots to do within driving distance. Additional little welcome package appreciated and able to book food deliveries from supermarket so didnt have the added pressure of finding somewhere after a long drive. Great place and very relaxing long weekend would recommend!
The cottage is the perfect place to stay to visit the area. The people we met were very friendly and the excellent provisions you left for us were much appreciated. We enjoyed our holiday and our taste of Scotland. The cottage was very well equipped and we found having a double bedroom downstairs very useful
Claire
Brilliant wee holiday home in a lovely location. Had everything you could want for a short break. Covered and sheltered hot tub is an added bonus.
A lovely cottage in a peaceful setting. Listing matched with what we found and was incredibly comfortable and well kept including having all the modcons plus the hottub was great! Easy to access local facilities from the location. Great value and experience all round wonderful hosts. Thank you so much.
Fisherman Cottage Amazing Christmas Time
Wow what a amazing holiday home ! !!!! You have everything you need in this lovely property and more !! What made our stay was how lovely Aaron and Vicky was to us they couldn't help us enough
Great place to relax, very clean house, kitchen equipped with everything you need we had many things with us that were already there, fresh bedding and towels, attention to the greatest details, TV, wellkept garden, great hot tub, great location two minutes walk to the sea, the house is located between other houses but it is very quiet and no one bothers anyone, a small local ice cream shop which is two steps away as well as a place with takeaway Chinese food very good, I also think that the rental price was appropriate and even competitive. We highly recommend it for families or just to come with friends to rest from the hustle and bustle of the city, I think we will come back here again.
Wonderful. Second time visiting the area and didn't even look at any other cottages.
We stayed a couple of weeks back and I can say with confidence this is the best cottage I have ever stayed in. It was perfectly equipped with everything you need and spotlessly clean. The welcome pack was so kind and had all the essentials. Communication with the hosts was polite and professional and they helped with all our queries. Location was lovely and we visited many places both far and near. Hot tub was bliss and a welcome retreat after long walks in Scotland. We will definitely be back to visit again. Recommend the Prison visit, Light house tour and the local beaches were simply beautiful. Thanks Sue & Ann
The Fishermans Cottage the perfect property in the perfect village with the most thoughtful hosts! The house is a perfect mix between classic and contemporary design with incredible amenities such as a very large garden, modern dcor, outdoor lounge area and a hot tub! The picturesque seaside is a stones throw away offering stunning views and beautiful, sandy beaches and dunes. A round or two of golf was also enjoyed at the local Inverallochy Golf Club with the club house a mere five minute walk away. The town of Fraserburgh is only a few minutes drive from the village and has plenty of shops and local businesses to keep you well stocked and fed. Since 2022, we have returned to the Fishermans Cottage on three separate occasions and look forward to many more!
Veronica
Property is clean and tidy with everything you need for your stay. Its in a quiet village, close to the sea.
What a fantastic holiday home. The property was immaculate and had everything that anyone could want for a short break. We were greeted on arrival with a welcome pack of bread, milk, wine, tea, coffee, fresh fruit etc which was unexpected but very welcome. Lovely enclosed garden with a large covered hot tub towels provided and garden furniture. Set in the peaceful village of Inverallochy it was exactly what we were looking for and within easy reach of the golden beach at Fraserburgh. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property for anyone looking for a relaxing chill out break.
Fisherman's Cottage is a beautifully appointed property with everything you could need for a short stay. The standard of furnishings is excellent and lead to a cosy stay. It was lovely to have a welcome food package of the essentials. The cottage has bed space for 6 people although the sitting room would be a bit cramped with 6 people...as we were only 3 people then it was perfect. The cottage is in a lovely village location, a two minute walk from the seashore. The local folks are very friendly and Peter's ice cream shop across the road needs to be visited daily! Delicious.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this fabulous modern cottage. Everything was clean, the knives are sharp and the only thing missing is larger pasta bowls. The little beach is just around the corner, the golf course is around the other corner .. thanks Vicki Ill be back.
We spent an amazing 3 nights in one of the most immaculate, spacious and fantastic holiday homes. From the extra touches of the fresh fruit, bubbly, fresh milk and butter to the teacoffee facilities and oilspices we were just delighted. Amazing shower, bath, and amenities. The tv also wow!! The house was SO clean, they provided us with a highchair and travel cot, and overall we couldn't have been happier. The location, the hot tub, the enclosed garden just amazing! We will definitely be back again. The hosts are the best and make sure that your visit is flawless and easy. They also contact you prior to make sure everything you have is included. We couldn't have asked or wished for a better holiday getaway! We look forward to staying again.

Clean good house , spent good time
This cottage is in a very quirky fishing village. Its furnished to a very high standard, is well equipped and the hot tub is big. We loved our stay at the Fishermans cottage. There is a shop, Chinese and ice cream shop in the village. This was our first stay with Sykes and we are very likely to book another stay as a result.
Stephen
