PARTI architects restored it to keep original features while adding modern extensions. Japanese techniques like Yakisugi were used to strengthen the structure.

Nearby attractions include Buxton (8.8 miles, 20 minutes), with its Georgian architecture and Opera House. Macclesfield (9 miles, 25 minutes) offers shopping and dining.
