Moss of Bourach Reviews

William
Lovely, wellkept accommodation in a beautiful countryside setting and only a few minutes drive from Aberlour. The host, Jane, is just the nicest person you could meet & even offered to drive us into Aberlour for a meal. Thoroughly recommend the property.
We had a lovely short break. Jane was very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. Really enjoyed the poolhot tub. Cabin was really warm and cosy.
The property was amazing. It was filled with everything we needed for the 5 days. Jane was extremely helpful, went out of her way to make sure we were looked after. Not only that, Jane and her family provided lots of tips of things to do and extremely helpful with the sudden snow fall. This utterly made this trip a massive highlight and something we will never forget. Thank you so much again Jane and family, we appreciate everything and cant wait to return one day. Would recommend to anyone who is thinking about getting the vacation of a lifetime.

Owner Jane, Very kind, with telepathic welcome pack. Saved me an extra trip out. Living room pleasantly warm. Peaceful stay.
This is an exceptional property in a stunning area of Scotland . Jane is the perfect host taking care to show us around and explaining everything to help us settle in and the welcome gifts were so thoughtful . The pod itself is very well equipped with absolutely everything that you would need and is cosy and really comfortable especially the beds . My husband is a wheelchair user and we have never found any holiday property to match Moss of Bourach in genuinely meeting the needs of those with mobility problems from the wet room with wide door access to the adjustable beds and the Jane ensuring that we had everything we needed . The view over to Ben Rinnes is amazing and the whole experience was so relaxing . We will definitely return .
Christine
The property was excellent and met our needs in every way. The owner was so helpful and her generosity knew no bounds. The variety of things provided by her was above our expectations and we would like to say thankyou for help and advice given to us. We thought that our stay was excellent.
A fantastic place to holiday, pod is fitted fully with all mod cons & more! Love it. The hot tubswimming pool is superb.A very relaxing place to have a holiday with plenty to see f do in the area. The owner who lives on sight is so lovely & has a heart of gold as does her family, nothing is a much bother for her. The pod is so clean& bright with towels & bedding all pure white and they are.

An absolutely fabulous place to stay. Everything has been well thought out with all mod cons. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Lots of lovely little extras when we got there, not going to spoil it for others who have booked. Very comfortable beds. Easy to work shower. Privacy blinds if you want them, blackout in the bedroom. Beautiful and relaxing with a friendly owner and their family who couldn't have done more to make our stay amazing. Wonderful easy to access swim spa and hot tub that was extremely clean just like everything else. Plenty to see locally, The Whisky Trail, the castles, shopping and countryside walks as well as quiet evenings watching the sun set. Beaches at Lossiemouth and beyond. Wildlife in abundance. Many thanks, we will be back.
WOW what a place, we had an excellent week. The owner is really helpful and friendly. Loved the SPA pool swim trainer, we spent ages in there watching the sun not really set June . Very peaceful area, with a lovely hill walk on the doorstep. The pod has everything, so comfortable, clean and well thought out we didn't need but if you have disability needs contact the owner there is lots on offer.
Michael

The property was fantastic, clean, private, with all mod cons. The pod is accessible so supportive for physical disabilities. The Swim hot tub was also accessible by hoist. The ability to swim against a current was fantastic, and relax with jets a lovely relax afterwards. Jane the owner was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend and we will be returning.
Laurence
Stayed at so many rentals over the years but the friendliness, consideration, warmth and welcoming feeling that Jane has provided has made this entire experience stand out above all others. The facilities and feel of the whole place has actually made us extend our week into two weeks and we are still here because of how stunning everything is here. The Pod is wonderful and the jacuzzi is an experience like no other. Its warm and comfortable. The beds are amazing and the furniture is cozy and comfortable too. The little touches that Jane provided just excel her kindness into another realm. We are coming back here again and again. Thank you Jane for a totally epic experience
Joshua

10 out of 10. We have stayed in a few Sykes places and this is the best. It is a gem, middle of nowhere and first class accommodation. Jane was so helpful, left loads of lovely food etc for our arrival. The place has all the modern helpful gadgets you could think of. The hot tub had a swimming jet so you could either relax or do some lengths against the jet. The TVs are great, the bed is very comfortable and the wet room has everything. You wont be disappointed!
It is an amazing place everything you need is there the host Jane was fantastic ... It is an amazing place everything you need is there the host Jane was fantastic if we needed anything she went above and beyond couldnt wish for a better place to stop I am disabled and it was well equipped for this could not find any fault whatsoever highly recommend it am sure you will have an enjoyable stay like we did and you have got the added bonus of hot tub swimming pool which my husband used a lot but I also could use being disabled
We had such an amazing relaxing time at Moss of Nourach. Jane has thought of everything and more. Due to health issues we had to swap a Kruger park safari for here and we were not disappointed. We relaxed, recharged and felt the better for it. The welcome pack was fabulous, the hydropool was just what the doctor ordered. The deer close by, the whisky trails and Walkers factory local delights. Local eateries were lovely too. A must place to stay to unwind and reset. We will be back, amazing facilities for ambulant disabled and wchair users alike. 1010 all round and
Raymond
Everything was amazing. Jane could not have been more helpful. We had everything we needed in the accommodation and more! It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The swim spar was a real bonus. We didnt want to leave.
Christopher
My wife and I chose to stay here for our honeymoon and what a choice it was! The pod is kitted out with all kinds of added gizmos that aren't listed so you get more than you expect. It's outstandingly clean and modern and yet retains a romantic feel. The hot tub is superb!! The host Jane is fantastic, she goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and deserves real credit. The pod is ideally situated for stunning views, with brilliant pubs, cafes and little shops only 2 miles away in the village. From minute one, I described this place as 'a little piece of heaven' and we'll certainly be back.
Jeremy
We just spent a very relaxing week at Jane's 'cottage'. The immediate surroundings and the mountain views meant our breakfasts lasted hours as we just soaked up the beautiful atmosphere of the place one morning we woke up to a deer on the lawn munching on the flower beds!. The accommodation was spacious and spotless, with everything we needed and plenty of things we never realised we needed!. It was the perfect base for trips to the Moray Coast to the North and the Cairngorms to the South. Not forgetting it is located near the Spey in the heart of whisky territory with distilleries seemingly round every corner.
Cannot find any faults with this booking. The host Jane and her family were incredibly accommodating going above and beyond any expectations to make sure we had everything we needed for ourselves and our 4 month old. Cannot praise them enough. The pod itself had everything we needed and on top of that a load of gizmos and treats that made the stay even more enjoyable, from the massage beds to the Japanese toilet to the organic soap. The highlight for us was the hot tubswim spa which I probably spent far too much time in. Its huge. The views as well. Was hoping for some stargazing but the weather wasn't permitting, though this didn't detract from the gorgeous sunset or views. Wishing Jane and family all the best and will definitely be back.
Jane & her family are great hosts, they cant do enough to make your stay comfortable & memorable without being intrusive. The welcome pack was beyond expectations. Jane herself has a great understanding about the requirements for people with disabilities, the hot tub swimming pool was fabulous. The profile beds just made my holiday complete as I have been unable to get into a bed for over two years it was so comfortable I slept the clock round the first night. There was nothing we could fault we both had a holiday to remember.
The host is very accommodating she went far and beyond to make our stay welcoming and pleasant. Highly recommended.
What a wonderful stay we had in this wonderful pod Everything you could ... What a wonderful stay we had in this wonderful pod Everything you could ever of needed and more can be found inside The owner and her family were brilliant nothing was too much trouble The little things are what make a holiday and this pod and the owner made this a brilliant holiday which ranks up very high with other holidays we have had so thankyou Jane and family
Lucinda
Absolutely perfect. From the hot tub to the accommodation, and the extra little touches like robes, towels etc. Jane went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend others to choose Moss of Bourach as the perfect break.
Michael
We had a fantastic stay with Jane and family incredible hosts. Everything we needed was there and we were sure if not jane would have climbed a mountain to get it for us. Totally recommended this vacation to all friends and family xx
Our stay was wonderful and Jane made us very welcome. For us the peace and quiet of the surroundings was just what we needed. We will be back hopefully when the sky gets dark enough to star gaze.
Yvonne
The Pod was set in an idyllic setting, with amazing views. The property owner Jane went above and beyond her duties. The Pod itself was comfortable, clean and had everything we required. We had such a lovely holiday.
Our stay was excellent, a fully equipped kitchen ,large wet room and a lovely bed the cleanliness was excellent ,Our hostess was very kind and helped us when we needed it ,we enjoyed her company very much . We enjoyed our 2 weeks very much .
Jane was the perfect host and even provided a new shower chair without any fuss. I can honestly say the accommodation was fantastic and Ideal for anyone with mobility problems. The scenery in the highlands are stunning. What a great few days and I would highly recommend this property. Once again, many thanks Jane for such a wonderful and pleasant holiday.
Had a fantastic stay, Jane is a great host and the lodge really does have everything you need. The welcome package was great, Jane showed us all the mod cons and how to use everything then left us to stay. The highlight has to be the hot tub, it's huge, the right temperature and has great views. The little touches Jane brings just makes the stay that more special. We would happily recommend to family and friends.
Absolutely fantastic holiday the host Jane and the Pod and facilities Next to none can't praise it enough
Previous feedback on this property says it all. It really is the most wonderful space to relax the beautifully warm swim spa is the icing on the cake for me and we used it every evening even in the 5 temperatures and snow!. It was blissful to me as someone with a bad back and hip, especially after very full and hectic days it really soothed my aching muscles! The pod itself is fabulous from the cleanliness of the whole pod to the Alexa controlled lights my particular favourite was the instant hot water for a cuppa. Jane, the owner is just the perfect balance of being on hand to help you with anything you need to know, to offering the right amount of privacy to allow you to get on with the task of relaxing and enjoying your holiday. I cannot fault this place in any aspect. We hope to return as there must be a whisky distillery that we didn't visit and that swim spa has me written all over it! Thanks Jane for a wonderful holiday!
We take cottagelog cabin holidays 2 to 3 times a year more often in Scotland. Weve not had a bad holiday yet but we have to say this is a stand out experience. Weve never had such a great welcome before, being diligently shown around the property by the owner Jane who explained all the amazing equipment including Alexa controlled lights and heating and the huge hot tubpool. We used it every night even in the rain as it covered within the barn which doesnt obscure your view outside. Jane provided us with a lovely local lemon drizzle cake, an ice cold bottle of Prosecco and a fresh baked loaf amongst other things in the welcome pack. She even topped us up with coffee machine pods. During our stay we were afforded complete privacy and Jane was always on hand for any advice about the property and local area. We normally travel in a group of four to six family or friends but this was a rare excursion as a couple for which this property and local area was ideal. Would highly recommend for couples and we certainly look forward to visiting again as a couple. Well done Jane and thanks for a fantastic holiday. Karen & John.
Sheila
Every thing was perfect, the welcome pack was more than adequate. As the Owner suggested an additional easy chair, would be of benefit. This accommodation is great for people with mobility issues. Peace & Quiet of the surroundings GREAT as was the wild life.
Lorraine
Really feel the online information does not do this property justice. Having said that, the added extras such as boiling water tap and Japanese toilet were additional welcome surprises. The starter pack of local produce including fresh bakers bread and the best carrot cake ever tasted sadly the local baker had none left when we visited to buy some on our departure day, along with Walkers shortbread etc etc was most appreciated after an 8hr journey due to road closures, the satnav apparently losing signal going through the Cairngorms and other factors. Hope to book soon to return next year. Jane has truly, in our opinion, found her vocation in life, she is the best host balancing interaction with privacy. The family pets were an added bonus for us although kept at distance if disliked, and the multiple deer sightings within the grounds and on approach were amazing. The pool just speaks for itself brilliant to have our own personal pool truly at our disposal for that week. It was all we hoped it would be and more! Tranquil, secluded surroundings made for a very relaxing week!
The property was absolutely perfect for myself and my partner. Jane showed us around when we arrived and explained all appliances, Hot tub etc.It was spotless and perfect for our 4 night stay. We took our mountain bikes which allowed us to see a lot of the beautiful countryside and being able to relax in the Hot tub afterwards was a treat indeed. The 'goodies' that were in the unit upon arrival were truly lovely, fresh scones, homemade jam's, clotted cream, butter, fresh bread and even a bottle of Prosecco, beautiful locally made soaps and honey. On our last night we Jane even made us Pimms to watch the sunset it was the perfect stay. Thank you we will be back!! The bedding was second to none as was the beds with massaging mattress and adjustable height etc.
