The Log Cabin Reviews

Samantha
The Log Cabin is a lovely little retreat, it's well maintained and there are little touches thoughtfully provided like toilet roll, handwash, and all your pot washing requirements! When you go away to self catering places your never sure what's going to be there on arrival and on this instance, after a 10 hour journey the little things mattered! The bed was made up on arrival and was comfortable to sleep on. Unfortunately it's midgie boom in Scotland, the joys of nature, I always have my citronellatea tree oil with me but there was repellent bands and bite cream thoughtfully provided. Definitely worth baring in mind if anyone is journeying up to Scotland this year to be prepared for them! We were checked on by Gordon to see that everything was okay and the hot tub was regularly maintained, although we didn't use it. His dogs would pop by every few days to say hi as well. My partner is a wheelchair user, he can use crutches for a small amount of time. We manged to get to and from the property with me taking his wheelchair in and out as there is basically a log step on a slope to access the cabin area and then a step up onto the cabin veranda, with a small lip on entry! The shower is a cubical with an open front shower curtain, standard toilet height. So if you've got your travel aids to help on holidays then you can make places work for you. It's a lovely tranquil setting, great place to recharge and switch off for a while. Oban is a 15 min drive away, I'd recommend the green seafood shack near the ferry docks if you like seafood! Like most rural locations if you want to go places they are a drive out, but so worth the stunning scenery.

The little barn was delightful cosy had everything you need and more . The pond was so pretty and tranquil the hot tub a bonus .the ducks in the pond frogs at night and the owl.what can I say..thankyou for our stay and hopefully get back for sure.highly recommended

Lovely stay in the log cabin. It was clean and tidy, easy to find and the location was gorgeous. We were spoiled by the abundance of wildlife, visited by ducks, a Herron and lots of birds! The log burner was fantastic as the nights were chilly. We left feeling completely relaxed. Shout out to Bailey the dog, who came to say hello, she was adorable and we loved seeing her.
Frederick
A beautiful place to spend a few days in Scotland. We had everything we needed in the cabin and the hot tub was the perfect place to relax in the evenings. Id recommend this to anyone who wants a place to get away from busy city life and appreciate nature and the stunning views that Scotland has to offer.

What a truly magical place to stay, just perfect in every way. Gordons a really helpful and kind host, we couldnt have been happier with our trip!
The property was exactly as described. It was situated in an idyllic location and was spotlessly clean. The host was very helpful and attentive . Would highly recommend a stay here and would definitely return. We found this to be a perfect retreat exactly what we were looking for .
This a beautiful little cabin exactly as described and pictured. Peaceful with picturesque surroundings.
We absolutely loved the log cabin it is in such a beautiful location. Hottub was perfect for us on return from our trips out
Magic location, small but cosy cabin, everything you need is there, take food with you as no local shops in the wee villages, but that's all good if you plan properly. Any questions promptly answered by the host.
Amazing stay! You wont regret it! My husband loved the time to reconnect and just Talkand walk and laugh! Beautiful setting! We will be back x
The perfect getaway, Loved staying there, Booked for next year, Gordon was very friendly, and there if you needed him, Highly recommend property. Gavin & June.
We had a nice time inspite of the rain, beautiful location! !!!
Fantastic wee log cabin. Set in peaceful surroundings overlooking a pond. It was our 2nd trip to the cabin and won't be our last.
We loved our stay. Very wellequipped, the hot tub stayed hot for the duration of our stay and we were very comfortable.
Samantha
We love the log cabin its amazing has everything we need to forget about the stress life has. We love wildlife which is plentyful! Love that oban is a ten minute drive away and from there we can visit my heaven on earth Mull! And also all the other isles. The only two things i d ask is to have the sky tv back and maybe some curtains but other than that the log cabin is amazing Gordon keeps it tiptop and we loved our visit from Bailey and Milo too!
It was a fantastic place, clean friendly and so peaceful. We loved the whole time there and wife enjoyed watching the birds feeding while sat in hot tub. Highly recommend it for a beautiful place.
One of the best places we've ever stayed. Perfect for exploring the local area, Kilmartin, Arduaine Gardens, Islands of Seil, Easdale and Luing or Scammadale or just sitting with a cup of tea watching rain fall on the pond. We ate out or bought prepared seafood in Oban so the kitchen was fine. The bed was really comfortable and shower was great. The hottub was fantastic in the evening to relax in. Gordon was the perfect host always available on the end of the phone. Definitely coming back!
Christopher
Absoloutely magical wee place ten minute drive fromto Oban .
This cabin can only be described as idyllic. Beautiful surroundings, peace and quiet.Cabin has everything you need and is cosy and comfortable. Hot tub a warm welcome after a day's exploring. We will definitely be back.
We had an amazing stay at the log cabin. Everything was really good. Enjoyed it with my wife and young child. The main attraction for me is that it is around so much Greenery, quiet and away from a busy city. Oban centre was a 20 mins drive so that was also quite handy. The only recommendation I would make is to put a proper oven inside the cabin. The microwave had a built in combi oven but it did not work good at all. I would definitely consider staying here again.
Phillipa
The cabin was gorgeous, the pictures do not do it justice! ! So peaceful to wake up and see the lovely scenery outside and very private also! We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend!
Maxine
Absolutely fantastic chilled week . Everything was spot on .Gordon was very helpful , Would love to go back in the summer time . Definitely highly recommended .
Andrew
This is a fantastic little lodge, comfortable, scenic and lovely walks if you can get yourself out of the tub! Plan to stay there, BBQ, take food etc and just relax. No need to drive anywhere with Scammadale within easy reach. Great for cold water swimmers in the river 150m away and Scammadale.
We arrived a little early at the Cabin not a problem as cleaner had been in . Gordon gave us a warm and friendly welcome with his dog and ran through the whole process quickly The cabin is exactly as we expected small but perfectly comfortable in a fantastic setting in lovely well kept grounds two mins walk from the river and about 15 mins drive from Oban there is a River lodge and House that are let out too but we never saw not heard a sole The Cabin although small was perfectly adequate good shower, cooker ,sofa and everything needed for comfortable few days away supplied The hot Tub was a t the side of the property and was lovely on acokd winters night The log burner was great to really heat up the cabin on the cold winter nightsthere are another two heaters and Gordon even restocked the firewood on last evening as we'd had it on a lot lol Water was checked regularly by Gordon along with hot tub etc We will definitely return in the future as it was just what we wanted a relaxing break with a wintry Xmas feel Thanks again and see you again soon Thanks so much for a wonderful stay Kevin & Gwenda
Jonathan
The location and the property were perfect for our honeymoon, we couldn't have asked for a better location. Gordon the grounds keeper was incredibly friendly and helpful no matter what the issue was.
Hilary
Our second time here at glen euchar log cabin and we will definitely be back. Just what we needed for a break away from our busy hectic lives. Always a friendly greeting from Gordon and his doggos!
Michael
This is a magical cabin In beautiful surroundings. It is so tranquil. The hot tub is amazing & great to chill in & the cabin itself is so cozy with the wood burner. The only constructive criticism is regarding lack of any place to store your clothes. Theres no wardrobe or bedside cabinetdrawer. There is a cupboard but it has games in it. Theres space for drawers to be proved under the bed. We lived out of a small suitcase & bag for 3 days. Other than that we loved it & would definitely come back.
George
Lovely Holiday,Peaceful. Just what we wanted.Gordon with his dogs lovely. But need more of a slbbed Path to Hottub,Bigger Towels, and a change of towels, once a week.
What a fantastic little place out of the way but close enough to shops and ... What a fantastic little place out of the way but close enough to shops and touristy places The hottub was welcomed after a day out and watching the wild birds eating their fill from the feeder made our days We even had a few visitors to say hello , two of Gordon's dogs Hope to be back soon
Jackie
It was our second stay here, we still love it. A new bed since last year which was great but meant you lost a drawer under the bed for storage, so a little short on places to unpack clothes. It's a lovely comfortable cabin and although close to a road, it feels like you are in secluded spot. The hot tub is amazing, lovely to relax in after a day out. Plenty of places to visit nearby and some stunning scenery. We had no issues but know that Gordon is only a phone call away, and we often saw him busy in the surroundings. The shower is great and decent wifi with DVDs, games etc to use if needed. Definitely recommend.
Christopher
Absoloutely magical little place , stayed for 3 nights and loved it so much that we've booked again for may , for a full week , loved the hot tub and log burner such a cosy wee place in stunning surroundings. Cant wait to return .
Absolutely wonderful week long stay . Gordon was most helpful and friendly . Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday .
Gordon
Cabin was everything we expected. Clean, tidy, and lovely surroundings. Hot tub water checked every day. Great wee break.
An amazing wee cabin located in an amazing location, very well kept, great wee stove that was well stocked with firewood, there was everything we needed and we would be back again in a heartbeat, but please please replace the bed, the springs are coming through and you can feel them when lying on the bed, the bed creeks and needs replaced as well. my wife has had a sore back from sleeping in the bed and on the last night she slept on the little couch as it was more comfortable than the bed.
An absolute magical stay in every sense. We arrived to a Twinkling Christmas tree, as well as Gordon, and his lovely dog, Carid. Amazing stat, facilities absolutely top notch. The spa? Outstanding. We'll definitely be back!
Shelley
Absolutely loved my weekend away! Beautiful and homey little cabin and the hot tub was amazing! Will definitely be back
A fantastic hide away.
