Argyle House Reviews

Richard
Argyle house didnt disappoint at all, as a large family gathering for a relaxing holiday we couldnt have chose better. The house was very comfortable and large enough for everyone to have space for themselves, with its ideal location for exploring the island, a great base with stunning views of the girth of Clyde and lands that surround it. Thank you so much
Had a lovely birthday wend at Argyle House accommodation for 20 of us was superb. .. comfortable rooms and beds... Kitchen facilities very good all equipment that you need We had a slight problem with hot tub when we arrived but was sorted next day and lights fusing but that too was resolved.Would def recommend this property for any kind of celebration.
Elaine
Lovely property in great location. Very clean and welcoming. Had a great time with the family and would definitely recommend
Lesley
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Argyll House, the only reason I didnt give top marks for cleanliness was there was 2 empty coffee cups in the yard and an empty plastic bottle in the garden, though this could have been caused by the storm we recently had and winds were very high. I think it would help if there were clearer instructions on the bins ie what waste went where.

We had a lovely week with the family at Argyle House. Rothesay is coming back to life with lots to see and do. Lots of cuisines to explore and friendly residents. The accommodation was excellent. View from dining room and upstairs lounge was amazing. GamesTV lounge was brilliant and the hot tub was a bonus. The facilities were super and the owners were lovely. Cannot recommend highly enough!
Frances
Lovely property on a lovely Island . Ideal for large groups . Beautiful outlook . Property owner was very helpful and I would love to go back again
Only big issue was lack of covered storage for bikes, otherwise a great place to stay with fantastic views, and proximity of town.

Argyle House is a gem of a place! Deceptive from the outside as its massive on the inside! It sits right on the see front & has amazing veiws across to the mainland. We were a party of 20, 12 adults & 8 children ages from 5 17 celebrating a 50th birthday & there was enough room for everyone to have their own space, the teenagers had their own rooms which they loved as they could chill out whenever they wanted. There are 2 lovely big sitting rooms, the kids took ownership of one while the male adults chilled in the other watching football! The real hub of the house though was the massive dining room the only room big enough to hold all of us at once and the kitchen. The dining room overlooks the harbour & out to the mainland, it is a fabulous view! The kitchen has everything you could possibly need & there's a massive range cooker more than capable of catering for the 20 of us. Most rooms are ensuite which was a real bonus. Fantastic big garden for the kids & dogs to runaround in complemented by a hot tub sited in a very tasteful gazebo to protect you from the elements although we were very lucky as the sun shone all weekend. The owner was very welcoming, contacting us on day one, to check in with us to make sure we were happy with everything & again after check out which is a lovely touch. The neighbours and the people on the island of Bute were so friendly too, which really helped us all to feel welcome & part of the community for the short time we were there! All in all a lovely house in a lovely location, I would definitely recommend it for a large group.
Excellent house for a large group.
This house was PERFECT for our family get away. Plenty rooms and bathrooms, no one felt ontop of each other. Kids had their own spaces... it's was brilliant. The only downfall we would say, we would have liked atheist some basic cleaning supplies... dishwasher liquid, sponge and a general spray. This would have made the stay more comfortable and have been a lot easier in keeping onto of the cleaning
Overall very good, spacious , clean and highly recommended specially for bigger group. The location, seafront is amazing. Its walking distance to shops. Beds and pillows are comfortable. We love to come back.
Sheila
The cleanest holiday let we have ever had, in a superb location and a very helpful owner.
William

Anthony
Wonderful property with fantastic views of Rothesay bay, and within easy walking distance of Rothesay town centre. Parking immediately outside was no problem. Rooms are finished to a high standard, and are very comfortable. Good size kitchen, well equipped, and well appointed. Rooms to the front of the property have a great view of the bay, and those at the back are lovely and quiet
The house had everything we could possibly need for our large family celebration. Lots of space inside and out and the kitchen was better equipped than my own at home. Very comfortable accommodation with beautiful views right on the front and only a few minutes walk from the centre of town. The owners were so kind. Provided all we needed for two babies in the family and kept in touch to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Highly recommend.
